What's Up Wednesday

What we're eating this week
For some reason, the past few weeks I have STRUGGLED with dinner ideas. I'm in a phase where nothing sounds good. I am getting bored with the same old. This week's menu is truly boring.

Monday- Cheeseburger Soup (check out my favorite soups post here)

Tuesday- TACO TUESDAY!
Wednesday- Grilled cheese and tomato soup
Thursday- OUT (Sophia's school play)
Friday- homemade pizza

What I'm reading
Brene Brown
I Thought It Was Just Me

Kristan Higgins
If You Only Knew

I really needed an easy read this month. This author is the ticket. She writes very lighthearted, romantic books that you can fly through.

What I'm looking forward to

Sophia's school play
Beggar's Night
Getting our carpets cleaned (I know, I lead a terribly exciting existence)
Getting a haircut

What I'm loving
It seems as though I'm loving lots of things right now! First up, This scarf... Unfortunately, when I purchased it was 50% off, making it only $15. It's not on sale right now but I would still recommend it. It's a blanket scarf so I also found that it works great as a wrap/shawl deal too! And of course, it's plaid so it's a winner in my books!

and this wrap... I wore it to Night Eyes. Not only is it just about the comfiest thing ever, it's super warm and I love the Fall coloring!

and these shoes.. I just got them this weekend and they are the comfiest, ever.
and Honest Beauty line
We use Honest products so I was pretty excited to try their new beauty line. Just like their other products, I'm sold. I love that you can mix and match your bundle and schedule them to arrive when you want them to. I've tried the face wash, moisturizer, eyeliner and the luminizing powder. Next on the list is the mascara, tinted moisturizer and magic balm. I can't wait to try!

Stitch Fix App-
Alright guys, I am a Stitch Fix addict and my sixth Fix is on it's way in November! This app makes the process even more seamless! If you haven't tried it yet, you really should!

What we've been up to
Lots of Fall activities here! The pumpkin patch, Night Eyes and upcoming Beggar's Night. It's my most favorite time of the year! Check out our Fall Bucket list here

What I'm watching
Besides the usuals (Grey's, Scandal, and DWTS) I am watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE) and Fixer Upper on Netflix (Can I just say that I absolutely love Joanna's style and basically want to be her?!)

What I'm excited about
Hearing exciting baby/marriage/life news. A few of my favorites just announced their pregnancies and I am sooo excited to see them enter parenthood. I just remember the uber excitement of being pregnant and looking forward to welcoming a bundle of joy into your life. It's the best feeling ever. If you missed it, check out my must haves for baby, here!  (baby fever, a little?!)

What I'm listening to
DSM just got a new station, 98.3- always great jamming out to Kriss Kross's "Jump" on the way to work in the morning!

What I'm wearing
Lots of sweaters and layering items. I love plaid (see here) with skinnies and a pair of boots (ies).

So tell me, what's up with you?!

And join me here on Friday to find out why the age 5 might just be my new favorite age!

What's Up Wednesday

It's the end of the month and so you know what that means- time for another What's Up Wednesday post!

What we're eating this week
Monday: Tacos
Tuesday: Roast with carrots and potatoes- threw it in a crock pot and VOILA! When we got home, dinner was ready!
Wednesday- Out- WM gets HOME!
Thursday- Homemade chicken nuggets, rice and broccoli

Friday- pizza night!

What I'm reading
Guys! You would be SO proud! I read TWO books this month! TWO!

Finished Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah,
I would highly, highly recommend both books! The Nightingale follows two sisters during WWII, their story is one of both tragedy, loss and the everlasting love of family. It is a must read. Gifts of Imperfections was a book that caused you to really self reflect and if you're into knowing how to become more authentic, how to cultivate connection and gratitude- it's a must read too!

Next up:

All the Light We Cannot See

What I'm looking forward to
Picking up Will from the airport!
Halloween! Night Eyes! And the pumpkin patch!

Pumpkin patch 2013

Halloween 2014

What we've been up to
Enjoying the weather and doing some major relaxing! Basically- a whole lot of nothing! I don't mind it one bit!

I love this view when I am cooking dinner!

Love these moments when they are playing so well together

What I'm watching
Who else is super excited Fall shows are back on!?

What I'm excited about
Odin has been doing EXCEPTIONALLY well at potty training. We haven't had an accident in more than a few weeks (knock on wood) Saidey is also potty trained fully, besides nighttime. I am also super excited for new things coming at work. :)

What I'm listening to
Right now, I have only been listening to Saidey sing. She has been singing EVERYWHERE. In the car, on the potty, and in the bath. It's mostly a bunch of gibberish but I love listening to it. Most of the time. :)

What I'm wearing
Fall layers....

Hunter boots...

This scarf

I am finding chambray shirts to be so versatile, perfect for transitioning to the Fall!

Lastly, I am a HUGE sucker for all things plaid this Fall- I just ordered this shirt and am really craving this scarf... just can't hit the "add to cart" button, yet.

I mean, I just can't even with this scarf.
And this one..

See what I mean? Loving plaid!!

So tell me, what's up with you?!
What Fall fashion finds are you craving? What is your favorite thing about Fall? Please share in the comments!
