It's What's Up Wednesday! One of my most favorite link ups (Mix and Match Mama) that I haven't participated in for quite a few months! I can hardly believe that we are already into the end of JULY and going into AUGUST! The summer is FLYING by but we've already made SO many good memories- and August is going to keep getting better!
What we're eating this week
This summer, we have SERIOUSLY been slacking on meal planning and going to the grocery store. This summer, it's been more of a last minute phone call at 5PM and one of us running to the grocery store for ingredients we need that very night. Not the best planning! But, our weekends seem to be filled with too much fun and this mama is running out of time!
So far this week, we've had chicken lettuce wraps (Thanks Aunt Sara) and Chick Fil A. I have NO idea what's for dinner tomorrow night BUT Thursday, we're going out to eat with my grandparents and my mom- so that's a night that I don't have to plan for. However, we're going for pizza and we usually have pizza Friday night- so that's a little bit of a pickle =)

What I'm reading
I've been reading the series by Kevin Kwan. I started with Crazy Rich Asians, then China Rich Girlfriend, and now I'm on Rich People Problems. I love the characters and the setting! I recommend starting in the order I listed them as they do build upon the characters from the first book. I've read One True Loves, which was really good too!
What I'm looking forward to
We have a LOT of fun things going on in August- the IOWA STATE FAIR starts #gimmeallthecorndogs #yesmaam and we have a few birthdays to celebrate this month too!

You may have heard about a little sale going on, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, where a lot of their new Fall items are on drastic sale! I am LOVING the items I got from the sale and am still scoping out the sale as it ends August 6th.
I'm also loving our new Letter Folk letter board! It's so fun creating new, fun quotes and I can't wait to use it for photo props! (First day of school, etc)

I can't believe it's almost back to school time, but I'm really excited to start getting back to school supplies and clothes! When I was a kid I LOVED the excitement of back to school and getting fresh notebooks and pencils #nerdalert Now, I am not at all excited for early bed times and routines...
I also ordered these boots for Sophia from the Nordstrom Sale.. this is a great time to shop for back to school!
What I'm working on
At the moment, I don't have a lot of projects that I'm in the middle of. Now, ask me what I SHOULD be working on and that's a whole other question! #basementstorageproblems

I'm also wearing a lot of v neck t's and denim shorts on the weekends. I throw on my Birkenstocks or Converse and am ready to go!
I can't wait to get this V neck from the Nordstrom Sale- it's got great reviews and it's on sale for $15! I got it in heather gray. ( I just searched for it and it's SOLD OUT but stay on the lookout, they MAY restock it!!
