16 Weeks!
Wow! I can't believe I am already into the 16th week! It's gone by really fast so far! As you can see from the picture above I am starting to show and most of my clothes are becoming too small. Most of my long sweaters still fit ok but all my pants need to be worn unbuttoned. It's been fun having people at work notice that I am starting to show, it's pretty funny, everyone is telling me that I am going to have one big belly because of how fast it's sort of just "popped" out there!
I've told all my parents at work now and they are all really excited for me. I glad that I will be able to work until July and see most of them transition to the 1 year old room, besides two of the babies. Parents are asking me if I am planning on returning to work and so far that's the plan. We are on the waiting list but the unfortunate thing is that Principal employees get priority so either way we have to have a back-up plan. We probably need to start looking at other centers soon in case they have a waiting list as well. The hard part about not getting into my center is that now that I have worked in an infant room in a quality child care center, I am going to be VERY VERY picky about what I want in a center. I have a very clear view of exactly what I want and exactly what I do NOT want, so that will be hard. One option we are thinking about is me staying at home and doing in home daycare until I get out of school, but again, it's all figuring out what will be best for all of us. So, I guess it's fair to say that we have A LOT to figure out before this little one comes!
Several people have told me they think I am going to have a boy and I have to say my gut instinct says that I'm having a boy too! Who knows though, that will be something to look forward to finding out in about 5 weeks. We are excited for our next appointment this Friday and to hear the heartbeat again. According to the What to Expect website, Baby S is now able to hear, especially my voice. This is exciting and I find myself wanting to talk to my belly. :)
